Communities in Schools
The mission of Communities in Schools is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve at life.
Did you Know???
- Consistent school attendance is crucial for your child's academic success, social-emotional development, and future opportunities
- Missing 10% (or 2 days a month) can affect a student's academic success
- When a student accumulates 6 unlawful absences, parents/guardians will be asked to participate in a Student Attendance Improvement Plan, a truancy hearing may be required, and Children and Youth may be notified.
- After 18 absences, doctor's notes only.

As a case manager, I support students who are having difficulties with attendance. I work with students and their family to identify the issues and concerns that are causing the problem, and then come up with a plan to work towards students' goal. If you need assistance, please reach out.
